Counsel to Donald Trump and two Trump corporations in 20 different claims brought by purchasers of units in the former Trump International Hotel Toronto. The claims include breaches of the Ontario Securities Act and negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation relating to investment potential of the units, as well as Mr. Trump’s role in the project.
These matters have been subject of a prior summary judgment motion and appeal when all the defendants were represented by one firm under an indemnity agreement. When Mr. Trump and his companies required their own counsel they retained Lax O’Sullivan Lisus Gottlieb.
