Danielle’s civil litigation practice includes shareholder disputes, securities matters, civil fraud, complex commercial disputes, defamation, class actions, and insolvency and restructuring matters. Danielle has experience prosecuting and defending claims at trial and on appeal. She has appeared before all levels of court as well as arbitrations and administrative tribunals.
Danielle is active in the legal community, working with Pro Bono Ontario, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, and Downtown Legal Services. Danielle has appeared as amicus at the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal and has repeatedly intervened at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Danielle has been consistently recognized by her peers in The Best Lawyers in Canada “Ones to Watch”.
Danielle shares her passion for advocacy as a regular speaker on civil procedure and anti-SLAPP legislation and has taught evidence and procedure in constitutional litigation at Osgoode Hall law school.
