Maya develops innovative solutions to complex legal issues. She takes a practical and results-driven approach to representing and assisting her clients.

Maya is developing a broad litigation practice. Prior to joining Lax O’Sullivan, Maya was a litigation associate at a leading national law firm where she gained experience in securities litigation, class actions and complex corporate-commercial disputes.

Maya received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. Maya was an avid mooter throughout law school – she was a semi-finalist in two mooting competitions, placed third in Canada at the Gale Cup Moot and coached an Osgoode 1L mooting team to its first Cassels Brock Cup victory in six years. Her contributions to the mooting program at Osgoode earned her an award for academic and moot court excellence. Maya also participated in Osgoode’s Mediation Intensive Clinic Program, where she led restorative justice circles in high schools and served as a mediator in small claims court.

Maya completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at York University. While completing her undergraduate studies, Maya also worked as a successful real estate agent.
