Melanie is developing a broad litigation practice. Prior to joining Lax O’Sullivan, she clerked for the judges at the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, where she assisted in a wide range of complex civil and criminal cases.
Melanie graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2020. At law school, she worked as a research assistant, conducting both legal and interdisciplinary research. She was a member of the Asper Centre’s Immigration and Refugee Working Group and a co-organizer of the French and the Law Symposium, the first event of its kind at the law school. During her second year, Melanie won the Callaghan Memorial Moot. She went on to coach mooting teams in her final year. Melanie summered at a leading corporate and securities litigation boutique and articled at the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario.
