Joanna is developing a broad litigation practice with particular interests in corporate-commercial disputes, regulatory law, and insurance litigation. She studied law at Osgoode Hall Law School where she was awarded various course prizes and was recognized for her legal research and writing. At Osgoode, Joanna participated in the Community and Legal Aid Services Program where she worked closely with clients, conducted negotiations with Crown counsel, prepared for trial, and appeared frequently in court. Joanna was also dedicated to several Osgoode student-life initiatives in her capacities as a Peer Counsellor and Student Ambassador.
Prior to law school, Joanna worked as a policy advisor at the Government of Ontario, where she was involved in the development of several regulatory and research initiatives concerning the alcohol and cannabis industries.
