Success On Motion In Yaiguaje v. Chevron Corporation

Terry O’Sullivan and Paul Michell were successful in resisting the efforts to add LOLG's client, Chevron Canada Capital Company, as a defendant to the high profile action brought by a group of Ecuadorian villagers to enforce a US$9.5 billion Ecuadorian judgment against Chevron Corporation and its seventh-level, indirect subsidiary, Chevron Canada Limited.  Earlier this month, Justice Hainey granted summary judgment in favour of Chevron Canada Limited.
