Successfully opposed motion to approve joint settlement of claims against a CCAA debtor in circumstances where the claims had not been approved by the Monitor.

Acted for leading IP law firm on dismissal of disqualification motion.

Representing a Canadian Schedule I bank in a Ontario securities class action alleging disclosure violations in connection with its exposure to the U.S. subprime mortgage market.

Represented De Beers Canada Inc. and other related entities defending a class action alleging anti-competitive practices in the sale of diamonds in Canada.

Counsel to the majority shareholder and several corporate entities in a breach of contract and oppression action brought by a minority shareholder and partner in several prominent Toronto restaurants.

Secured an Order mandating the immediate return of the union’s network and server data, along with an accounting by third parties of all network information accessed while under their possession.

Acted for Tervita in successfully challenging a decision by the Commissioner of Competition under s. 92 of the Competition Act to disallow Tervita’s merger with Complete Environmental Inc.
