Tyler is a results-oriented litigator who uses practical strategies to create positive results for clients. Tyler combines his knowledge of the law with creative problem solving to help clients navigate their most complex disputes.
Tyler’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, regulatory disputes, proxy fights, director and officer liability, estates and trusts, and class actions. He also has experience navigating both cultural and business issues in disputes involving Indigenous peoples.
Tyler has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the British Columbia Supreme Court, provincial securities commissions, the Ontario Energy Board, and other regulatory tribunals. Tyler regularly appears before the Toronto Commercial List.
Before joining the firm, Tyler practiced with a leading international law firm, where he focused on commercial and civil litigation. Tyler received his J.D. from Queen’s University in 2019. He earned the highest standing in contract law and was a member of the Dean’s List, marking the top 10% of his class. Tyler was also active in student politics as the President of the Society of Graduate and Professional Students. In this role, Tyler was primarily an advocate for all graduate and professional students to the University’s administration and provincial and federal governments.
