Bio
An exceptional litigator with ‘all the elements of a good lawyer’, Crawford combines expertise with strategy to represent clients in corporate and commercial litigation, regulation, securities, professional liability, energy proceedings, insurance, competition litigation, public and administrative law, with substantial expertise in class actions. He has significant experience engaging complex disputes that demand subject-matter experience involving specialized and highly regulated industries in the energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, and financial services sectors.
Crawford has extensive experience in trials, arbitrations and administrative hearings before all levels of court in Ontario, in the Supreme Court of Canada, in the Federal Court of Appeal, and before a variety of administrative tribunals including the Ontario Energy Board, the Ontario Securities Commission, the Competition Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Environmental Review Tribunal.
Crawford is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a past director of The Advocates' Society and chair of the Standing Committee on Advocacy and Practice. He is regularly invited to speak at seminars held by The Advocates' Society, The Law Society of Ontario, and other organizations.
