Azzam maintains a diverse litigation practice that focuses on corporate-commercial disputes, contractual matters, director and officer liability, franchise litigation, as well as domestic and international arbitrations.
Azzam has been called to the Bar in three jurisdictions across three continents. He clerked at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and worked at the Office of the Attorney General for Pakistan, where he acted as counsel for Pakistan in high-stakes international investment and international commercial arbitrations. Notably, he represented Pakistan at the UNCITRAL negotiations on investor-state dispute settlement reform.
Azzam earned his Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Sussex, a Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Professional Studies from the University of Law, London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales. He continued his legal education by earning a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
