Overview
Counsel to Donald Trump and two Trump corporations in 20 different claims brought by purchasers of units in the former Trump International Hotel Toronto. The claims included breaches of the Ontario Securities Act and negligent and fraudulent misrepresentation relating to investment potential of the units, as well as Mr. Trump’s role in the project. Successfully resisted motion to consolidate claims before reaching resolution of all of them. (2018 ONSC 4649 and 2018 ONSC 5234)
